Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore and the seven Indian Institutes of Technology (at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee) has given a notification for conducting Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering GATE)- 2018 to get admissions into M.Tech./ Ph.D. programmes in IITs , IISc, IISERs and other reputed institutions Organized by IIT Guwahati. Name of the Examination: Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) – 2018
Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess Graduation/ Post Graduation (Engineering/ Technology).
Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on Online Computer Based Test (CBT).
Examination Fee: Applicants required to pay Rs.750/- for SC/ ST/ PwD category candidates, Female Candidates, 1500/- for all other candidates, US$.100 for Dubai and Singapore, US$ 50 for Addis Ababa, Colombo, Dhaka and Kathmandu through online by using either net banking or debit card or credit card.
How to Apply: Eligible candidates can apply online through the website www.gate.iitg.ac.in from 01-09-2017 to 05-10-2017.

1. Online Applicants should log on to the website www.gate.iitg.ac.in.
2. Click on “http://appsgate.iitg.ac.in” —> Information Brochure .
3. Read Notification Eligibility, Documents for Application.
4. Click on “Register Here” & Fill up all the details.
5. Get Enrollment ID & Login with ID & Password.
6. Fill-up the all Information & Scan the required documents.
7. Check once before submission of application form.
8. Take print copy of application form for future use.

Last Date for GATE (Online) Application : 05-10-2017
Last Date for Requesting Change of Examination City (an additional fee will be applicable) : 17-11-2017
Date for Availability of Admit Card in the Online Application Portal (for printing) : 05-01-2018
Date of GATE 2018 Examination : 03, 04, 10 & 11-02-2018
Time of GATE 2018 Examination : 09:00 AM to 12:00 Noon & 02:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Date for Announcement of the Results in the Online Application Portal : 17-03-2018
